Fivefly is based in the European Union 🇪🇺. Two policies live below — one general policy that covers everything we make, and one specific to Shopping List.
We do not plan to store, sell, or process user data beyond what is needed to run our app’s functionality. Period.
Fivefly is operated from the European Union and follows EU data-protection principles by default — minimal collection, clear purpose, your right to be forgotten.
Our products integrate with platform services (Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Firebase for sync). Each of these processes data under their own terms — we never share more with them than needed to make the app work.
Shopping List is a personal productivity app. By default, your lists live entirely on your device — we don’t see them, touch them, or store them anywhere.
Signing in is optional — every core feature of the app works without an account. You only need to sign in if you want to share lists with other people. On iPhone and iPad you can use Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; on Android, Google Sign-In. When you sign in, we receive your name and email address, which we use solely to identify you to the people you choose to share lists with. We don’t use it for marketing or hand it to anyone else.
Shopping List lets you share lists with other people in real time. To make that work, the shared list data is temporarily held on our servers long enough to deliver it to the other person. We use that data for nothing else — no analysis, no profiling, no third-party handoffs. Shared data is automatically and regularly purged from our servers once it has been delivered or after a short retention window, whichever comes first. Your lists are yours.
You can attach photos to items or lists. These photos stay on your device and remain private to you — unless you share the list they belong to. When a list is shared, its photos are stored on Firebase Storage so the other members of that list can see them, and are subject to the same purging as other shared list data.
If you choose to use the Google Drive backup feature, your shopping list data is uploaded to your personal Google Drive account. This data is accessible only to you. We do not have access to your Google Drive or its contents.
Shopping List Pro is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that removes ads. On iPhone and iPad the purchase is processed by Apple; on Android, by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage your subscription status — it does so using the purchase information from the app store and an app-specific user ID. We never receive your payment card details; those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
The free version of this app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect device information and use cookies or similar technologies to show personalized ads. This data is collected by Google, not by us. See policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Subscribing to Shopping List Pro removes ads entirely.
On iPhone and iPad, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you grant it, ads may be personalized using your device’s advertising identifier; if you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones. You can change this anytime under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android, you may opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
